Football Game Preview: Fairview Aggies vs. Jacksonville Golden Eagles + Official Tickets

The Fairview Aggies will square off against the Jacksonville Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairview is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Fairview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They beat Arab by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 14-7. Given the Aggies' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Knights are ranked 173rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jake Harper was his usual excellent self, rushing for 162 yards and one TD while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.

Harper was just one part of a punishing run game: Fairview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arab only rushed for 66.

Fairview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Kolt Redding was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville beat Ramsay 14-7 on Friday.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Jacksonville's defense and their six sacks. Jack Dingler refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself.

Fairview's record is now 11-0. As for Jacksonville, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Fairview has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 275.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jacksonville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 217.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
