Football Recap: Aurora Huskies vs. Pierce Bluejays
Aurora couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 41-28 to the Pierce Bluejays on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 42-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2022.
Pierce can attribute much of their success to Brock Collison, who rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 153 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes.
Aurora will square off against McCook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pierce, they will take on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
