Recap: Schoolcraft Eagles vs. Saugatuck Trailblazers
The Schoolcraft Eagles won the last time they faced the Saugatuck Trailblazers, and things went their way on Friday too. Schoolcraft put the hurt on Saugatuck with a sharp 41-21 win. With Schoolcraft ahead 27-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
When it comes to explaining why Saugatuck lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cass Stanberry. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Stanberry's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
The win makes it two in a row for Schoolcraft and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32 points. As for Saugatuck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
Schoolcraft will head out on the road to face off against Lawton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lawton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Saugatuck, they will be playing at home against Saranac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
