Baseball Recap: Holcomb Takes a Loss

Holcomb was the 9-8 winner over Cooter when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Thursday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Holcomb saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce McNabb, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Holcomb now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cooter, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holcomb will head out to take on Puxico at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cooter, they will face off against Hayti at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
