Softball Game Preview: Wahama White Falcons vs. Madison Southern Eagles

The Wahama White Falcons will challenge the Madison Southern Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Wahama will be strutting in after a win while Madison Southern will be coming in after a defeat.

Wahama will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against Martin County on Thursday. The White Falcons put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the White Falcons, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Wahama got a massive performance out of Kalyn Christian, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Christian a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Staats, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Meanwhile, Madison Southern came up short against Madison Central on Wednesday and fell 9-6. The Eagles have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Lexie Keener and Ashlyn Estep did some serious damage despite the final result: Keener scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Estep scored a run while going 1-for-2. Allie Wilson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Wahama's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Madison Southern, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
