Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kohen Lingenfelter and Wyatt Schroth Lead Plainview to Victory

Plainview hadn't done well against Creighton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Plainview Pirates blew past the Creighton Bulldogs 60-38. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-13.

Plainview was led to victory by Wyatt Schroth and Kohen Lingenfelter. Schroth on his way to 17 points and three steals, while Lingenfelter en route to 17 points. That's the most points Lingenfelter has posted since back in December of 2024. Jacson King was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

Plainview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. Creighton has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
