Softball Game Preview: Villa Joseph Marie Jems vs. Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes

For the first time this season, Villa Joseph Marie will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will challenge the Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Villa Joseph Marie is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Villa Joseph Marie came up short against Academy of the New Church and fell 6-3.

Delaney Radtke made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Anya Frabizzio also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Even though they lost, Villa Joseph Marie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Academy of the New Church only posted a batting average of .120.

Meanwhile, Villa Maria Academy made easy work of Pope John Paul II on Thursday and carried off a 14-3 victory. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with Pope John Paul II recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory got Villa Maria Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Villa Joseph Marie, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
