Volleyball Recap: Clear Spring Blazers vs. Williamsport Wildcats

Clear Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Williamsport Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on October 1st.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20.

Several Blazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Callie Hose, who had 34 digs. Hose is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Malea Shingleton, who had 42 assists and eight digs.

Clear Spring's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Williamsport, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Clear Spring will welcome Allegany at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Williamsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
