Baseball Game Preview: Rice Consolidated Raiders vs. Industrial Cobras

Rice Consolidated hasn't had much luck against Industrial recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Rice Consolidated will head out to challenge Industrial at 7:00 p.m.

Rice Consolidated fell victim to Hallettsville and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Brahmas, falling 8-0. The Raiders' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Meanwhile, Industrial hadn't done well against Columbus recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Industrial had just enough and edged out Columbus 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cobras have posted since March 6th.

Industrial is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Rice Consolidated now has a losing record of 9-10.
