Baseball Recap: Polo Comes Up Short

Polo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 16-1 to the Milledgeville Missiles. The Marcos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Missiles earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

Polo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Cavanaugh, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Polo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Milledgeville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Polo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milledgeville, they will head out to challenge Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Missiles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
