Basketball Game Preview: Largo Lions vs. Surrattsville Hornets

Largo and Surrattsville are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Largo Lions will take on the Surrattsville Hornets on Tuesday. Largo's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Surrattsville's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Largo's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when John Carroll offense got past them. Largo took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of John Carroll. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Surrattsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-32 heartbreaker at the hands of Gar-Field.

Surrattsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Largo, they moved to 4-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Everything went Largo's way against Surrattsville when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Largo made off with a 59-33 victory. Does Largo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Surrattsville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
