Soccer Recap: Patterson Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Patterson was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They lost 4-1 to the East Union Lancers. While losing is never fun, Patterson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while East Union are ranked 44th).

Patterson's goal came courtesy of Octavio Sedano, which was the first he's scored this season.

Patterson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-3. As for East Union, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.

Looking ahead, Patterson will challenge Gregori at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Union, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Johansen on the 9th.
