North Mecklenburg gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They blew past the Rocky River Ravens 67-35. With the Vikings ahead 40-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Rocky River's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jade Bell, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lundyn Spears, who put up 11 points.

Rocky River is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, North Mecklenburg will square off against North Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rocky River, they have already played their next matchup, a 78-63 victory against Chambers on the 20th.
