Volleyball Recap: Winnebago Takes a Loss

Winnebago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Omaha Nation Chiefs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on Saturday.

Winnebago took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-20.

Miliani Bass paced Winnebago's offense, picking up five kills. Bass got some help from Cassidy Bass and her eight assists. Cassidy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Winnebago's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Omaha Nation, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnebago will head out to face off against Lyons-Decatur Northeast at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Omaha Nation, they will face off against Bancroft-Rosalie on Monday.
