Landstown and Princess Anne are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Eagles will host the Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Landstown is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Manor 25-4 on Wednesday. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Ashlyn Tolbert made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Tolbert was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two triples and four RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Hailey Akers was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Perez, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Landstown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Princess Anne brought some dynamite into their most recent match. Everything went their way against Green Run on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cavaliers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
C Bonomo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Jenna Ramsey was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was K Rhoades, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
The victory was the third in a row for Landstown, bringing their record up to 7-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Princess Anne, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
Landstown came out on top in a nail-biter against Princess Anne in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
