Baseball Game Preview: Flint Hill Huskies vs. Sidwell Friends Quakers

The Flint Hill Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Sidwell Friends Quakers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Flint Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Saturday, Flint Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over Chagrin Falls, taking the game 6-1.

Michael Morgan looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aidan Ryan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Jake Blazejowski was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sidwell Friends has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.43 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit last Wednesday. They lost 10-4 to Landon. The loss was the Quakers' first of the season.

Flint Hill's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Sidwell Friends, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.

Flint Hill came out on top in a nail-biter against Sidwell Friends when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Flint Hill since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
