Softball Recap: Memorial Gets the Win

Memorial was forced to take a big defeat against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Jackson-Milton Bluejays 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Bluejays on Tuesday, they had to take a 15-1 loss.

Ramani Adams was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Adams was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Mileena Williams was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory got Memorial back to even at 7-7. As for Jackson-Milton, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Memorial will host Lowellville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson-Milton, they will venture away from home to square off against Columbiana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
