Baseball Recap: Ledyard Comes Up Short

Ledyard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the New London Whalers, falling 11-2. The Colonels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Whalers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Ledyard saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Spinner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Ledyard's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for New London, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Looking ahead, Ledyard will square off against Griswold at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for New London, they will venture away from home to square off against Wheeler at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
