Soccer Game Preview: Eau Claire vs. Chester

The Eau Claire Shamrocks will face off against the Chester Cyclones at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chester took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Eau Claire, who comes in off a win.

Eau Claire headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Fairfield Central let them put that streak behind them. The Shamrocks skirted past the Griffins 5-4. That's two games straight that Eau Claire have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Mid-Carolina, falling 7-0. Mari Strong was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Eau Claire, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4.
