Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kyleigh Smith and Mia Lopez Lead Mt. Carmel to Victory

Mt. Carmel won the last time they faced Chalmette and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cubs put the hurt on the Owls with a sharp 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-19.

Mt. Carmel was led to victory by Mia Lopez and Kyleigh Smith. Lopez had 19 digs and one assist, while Smith had 13 digs. Lopez has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Mt. Carmel's record is now 36-5. As for Chalmette, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.

As of now, neither Mt. Carmel nor the Owls have any future games scheduled.
