Basketball Recap: Leonia Takes a Loss

Leonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 79-51 defeat at the hands of the Dwight-Englewood Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 47th).

Leonia's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Dwight-Englewood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Leonia is taking a road trip to square off against New Milford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dwight-Englewood, they will square off against Palisades Park at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
