Football Recap: Clear Lake Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Clear Lake played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Cypress Woods Wildcats, falling 59-14. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Zaedrian Lewis threw for 58 yards on five of 13 attempts. On the ground, Jibreel Bynum rushed for 88 yards.

Darien Rogers had an outrageously good game for Cypress Woods as he rushed for 35 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 124 yards and one TD while completing 72.2% of his passes. Frank Gomez helped out on the ground, rushing for 82 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Clear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cypress Woods, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clear Lake will square off against Kingwood Park at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Cypress Woods, they will head out to challenge Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
