Baseball Recap: San Marino Has No Trouble Against California

After only one run in their last match, San Marino made sure to put some runs up on the board against California on Monday. The San Marino Titans blew past the California Condors 10-3. Considering the Titans have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

JJ Wilson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

In other pitching news, Nate Kar looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Parker Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Chase Mena was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

San Marino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as California only posted a batting average of .160.

San Marino's record is now 6-1. As for California, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

San Marino wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-2 defeat against Foothill Tech on the 4th. As for California, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Sonora on the 4th.
