Volleyball Recap: Truckee Extends Winning Streak to Three

Truckee had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Debbie Smith CTE Academy Mavericks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Truckee took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-9.

Zoe Jackson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Jackson wasn't the only good servers: Truckee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive matches.

Truckee's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Debbie Smith CTE Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Truckee will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McQueen at 6:00 p.m. As for Debbie Smith CTE Academy, they will face off against South Tahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
