Baseball Recap: Raymond Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Raymond's offense. They came up short against Richland on Tuesday, falling 17-0. Raymond has struggled against Richland recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Raymond saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlton Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Raymond's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Richland, their record is now 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raymond will take on Lawrence County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Raymond's pitchers better be ready for this one: Lawrence County has averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Richland, they will challenge McComb at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Richland is facing McComb at the right time seeing as McComb is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
