Volleyball Game Preview: San Antonio Christian Lions vs. Providence Catholic Provets

San Antonio Christian has gone a perfect 10-0 against Providence Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. San Antonio Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

San Antonio Christian had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt St. Anthony on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Yellowjackets.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-12, 25-16.

San Antonio Christian can attribute much of their success to Isabella Carvajal, who had three digs and two aces. What's more, Carvajal racked up 12 assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups.

Meanwhile, Providence Catholic came up short against St. Joseph on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Provets have struggled against the Flyers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-3, 25-8.

San Antonio Christian's win bumped their record up to 22-16. As for Providence Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.

Everything went San Antonio Christian's way against Providence Catholic in their previous matchup back in September, as San Antonio Christian made off with a 3-0 victory.
