Baseball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Langtree Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lincoln Charter Eagles, falling 12-1. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Langtree Charter Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Roschke, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Langtree Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Lincoln Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Langtree Charter Academy will take on Queen's Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lincoln Charter, they will face off against Community School of Davidson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
