After losing to San Marcos the last time they met, Cathedral Catholic decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dons came out on top against the Knights by a score of 7-2 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Dons, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Mimi Botticelli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Tyler Price was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ellie Davis also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Cathedral Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.

Cathedral Catholic's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for San Marcos, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Cathedral Catholic has already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Saint Francis on the 3rd. As for San Marcos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-1 loss against Poway on the 9th.
