Recap: Eldon Mustangs vs. Tipton Cardinals
Even though the Eldon Mustangs have not done well against the Tipton Cardinals recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Eldon blew past Tipton 59-35. That's two games straight that Eldon has won by exactly 24 points.
When it comes to explaining why Tipton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Bailey. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The contest was Bailey's third in a row with at least ten points. Zach Moon was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Eldon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tipton, they have fallen quite a ways from their 22-6 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eldon will take on Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Buffalo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Tipton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leeton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
