Football Recap: Dinuba Emperors vs. Golden West Trailblazers
Dinuba lost against Golden West back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Emperors were dealt a 48-19 defeat at the hands of the Trailblazers. The Emperors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even if they lost, Dinuba's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was TRISTAN FRYSON with two. MARTIN AGUILAR was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
A big part of Golden West's victory came down to the chemistry between Jayden Najera and his top target Isaac Oceguera. Najera threw for 335 yards and four TDs while picking up 15.2 yards per attempt while Oceguera picked up 260 receiving yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Najera has posted since back in September of 2024.
Dinuba's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Golden West, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Dinuba will head out to square off against Kingsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Golden West, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mission Oak at 7:30 p.m.
