Football Recap: Dinuba Takes a Loss

Dinuba lost against Golden West back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Emperors had to suffer through a 48-19 loss at the hands of the Trailblazers. The Emperors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, Dinuba's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, TRISTAN FRYSON was the leader with two. MARTIN AGUILAR was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

A big part of Golden West's win came down to the chemistry between Jayden Najera and his top target Isaac Oceguera. Najera threw for 335 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per attempt while Oceguera picked up 260 receiving yards and three scores. Oceguera was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 65 yards.

Dinuba's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Golden West, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Dinuba didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-16 win against Kingsburg on the 5th. As for Golden West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 45-27 victory against Mission Oak on the 5th.
