Basketball Recap: A'niyah Harmon Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Klein Forest

Klein Collins won the last time they faced Klein Forest and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Klein Collins Tigers walked away with a 54-43 win over the Klein Forest Eagles. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Eagles are ranked 635th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Klein Collins got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was A'Niyah Harmon out in front who went 9 of 18 on her way to 27 points and four steals. That's the most points Harmon has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Christen Campbell, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 15 boards, and ten steals.

Klein Collins smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Klein Forest's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kamila Montes, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 12 points and five steals, and Neiman Berry, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 12 points.

Klein Collins' record now sits at 16-6. As for Klein Forest, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Klein Collins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-43 win against Westside on the 3rd. As for Klein Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-39 defeat against Tomball on the 3rd.
