Softball Recap: Ursuline Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Catholic Central

Ursuline Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Catholic Central Cougars. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Lions' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Ursuline Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Catholic Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Coming up, Ursuline Academy will take on Mount Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Catholic Central, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ottawa Hills at 4:15 p.m. on the 16th. The game will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
