There's no place like home for Clarion-Limestone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Moniteau Warriors 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Warriors back in April, they had to take a 11-1 defeat.

Logan Lutz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jesse Siwiecki was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alex Love, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Clarion-Limestone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Clarion-Limestone's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Moniteau, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
