Middleton is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game two weeks ago. They took a blow against Alonso, falling 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Ravens are ranked 192nd).

Meanwhile, Jefferson put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Robinson 45-27. 45 seems to be a good number for the Dragons as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Jefferson can attribute much of their success to Ronnell Dubose, who gained 287 total yards and four touchdowns, and Jack Cunningham, who threw for 353 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Dubose's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 155 rushing yards dating back to last season. A healthy portion of that aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Chauncey Gunn, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Middleton came up short against Jefferson in their previous matchup back in September of 2020, falling 6-0. Can Middleton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
