Basketball Recap: Excel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, Excel Christian Academy finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They were beaten by the Calusa Prep Colts 73-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-36 back in December of 2024.

Excel Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Calusa Prep, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Excel Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Meade at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Meade is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season. Calusa Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
