Baseball Recap: Loyola Blakefield Comes Up Short

Loyola Blakefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Curley Friars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Friars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-3 loss two weeks ago.

Loyola Blakefield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Archbishop Curley, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Loyola Blakefield will challenge Boys Latin at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Curley, they will face off against Our Lady of Good Counsel at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Friars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
