Recap: Garfield Heights Bulldogs vs. Lorain Titans
The Garfield Heights Bulldogs lost against the Lorain Titans back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Garfield Heights was dealt a 70-29 defeat at the hands of Lorain. Garfield Heights has struggled against Lorain recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Journey Rencher , who scored 10 points. Rencher scored a full 34.5% of Garfield Heights' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stacia Mobley, who scored 8 points.
Garfield Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lorain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garfield Heights will square off against Bard Early College at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lorain, they will head out on the road to face off against Vermilion at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
