Softball Recap: Beckman Snags 13th Win in Last 17 Games

While Beckman's victory against El Toro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Chargers 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-6 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Jazmine Cruz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Kylie Kim was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Beckman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February.

Beckman is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for El Toro, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beckman will head out to take on San Juan Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Toro, they will venture away from home to face off against Woodbridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
