Basketball Recap: Fossil Ridge Comes Up Short

Fossil Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. The match between them and the Chisholm Trail Rangers didn't end well, with the Fossil Ridge Panthers falling 49-34. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kaden Richardson was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 13 on his way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals for Chisholm Trail. The match was Richardson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Johnson, who posted five points along with seven steals and five boards.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Chisholm Trail, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Saginaw the next time they take the court. Chisholm Trail will head out to face Saginaw at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fossil Ridge will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
