Steele Canyon is a perfect 7-0 against Monte Vista since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Steele Canyon will host Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Steele Canyon came up short against West Hills and fell 3-1.

Steele Canyon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Hills work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24, 23-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista beat Valhalla 3-1 on Tuesday.

The victory didn't come easy: Valhalla scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21.

Monte Vista has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Steele Canyon's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6.

Steele Canyon skirted past Monte Vista 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Steele Canyon repeat their success, or does Monte Vista has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
