The Century Centurions will head out on the road to take on the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Century is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Century is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 26-11 margin over Agape Christian on Thursday. The Centurions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Brandon Plott was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Windings, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Century always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Anna-Jonesboro had just enough and edged out Murphysboro 2-1 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted against the Red Devils since April 27, 2022.
Aaron Sheffer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. He has become a key player for Anna-Jonesboro: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 3-10 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Anna-Jonesboro's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Taj Hodges, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Century's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Anna-Jonesboro, their record is now 6-10.
Century suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Anna-Jonesboro when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Centurions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
