Softball Recap: Silver Lake Regional Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Silver Lake Regional finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Lakers were not able to get on the board.

Silver Lake Regional moved to 13-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Silver Lake Regional will welcome Marshfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Lakers have won five straight at home, while the Rams won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they will square off against Bedford at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
