Softball Recap: Weston-Mcewen/Griswold Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverside, Weston-McEwen/Griswold was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Irrigon Knights an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tiger Scots, who have now won four contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Weston-McEwen/Griswold pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Irrigon, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weston-McEwen/Griswold will host Stanfield/Echo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Irrigon, they will be playing at home against Enterprise/Joseph at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
