Basketball Recap: Oak Hill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Waterville last Friday, Oak Hill came back down to earth. The Oak Hill Raiders took a 78-60 bruising from the Mount Abram Roadrunners on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 13th).

Oak Hill dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mount Abram, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Oak Hill will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Spruce Mountain at 6:30 p.m. As for Mount Abram, they are taking a road trip to take on Winthrop at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Abram knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Winthrop likes a good challenge.
