Recap: Archer City Wildcats vs. Olney Cubs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nocona, the Archer City Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 38-27 win over Olney. This was payback for Archer City, who suffered a 40-18 loss the last time these two teams met.

Archer City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malia Jones, who scored ten points along with four steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Jones posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Jones, who scored eight points along with five steals.

Archer City now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Olney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archer City will take on Seymour at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Seymour is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Olney, they will be playing at home against Petrolia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Petrolia comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
