Baseball Recap: Seneca Beats Crescent for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Seneca entered their tilt with Crescent on Wednesday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Crescent Tigers by a score of 10-7. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2019.

Alex Bene tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

At the plate, William Cutshall was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Kade Scruggs was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs and four RBI.

Seneca kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.

Seneca pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Crescent, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Seneca will take on Travelers Rest at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crescent, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Crescent Tigers face off against Franklin County Lions at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
