Volleyball Recap: Jackson Center Tigers vs. Lehman Catholic Cavaliers
Jackson Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Jackson Center actually scored more points across those five sets (102-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-14, 14-25, 26-24, 16-14.
Despite the loss, Jackson Center had strong showings from Laynee Shields, who had 16 assists and eight digs, and Haidyn Bensman, who had six digs and three aces.
