Redwood extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Beckett Shewey. The Giants came out on top against the Livermore Cowboys by a score of 3-1 on Saturday thanks in part to Shewey, who hit 76.2% for 33 kills and eight blocks and four aces. He has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last ten times he's played.

The victory didn't come easy: Livermore scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 26-24.

Livermore's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Samuel Walter, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Jacob Smithson, who had 15 kills, ten digs, and three aces.

Redwood is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Livermore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Redwood will welcome San Rafael at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Livermore, they will challenge Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cowboys surely won't give up without a fight.
