Basketball Recap: Antioch Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Antioch Christian Academy lost against Christ the Cornerstone Academy back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Antioch Christian Academy Gators lost 50-29 to the Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders. The game marked the Gators' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Will Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least a third of Christ the Cornerstone Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mac Hunt, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Antioch Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Antioch Christian Academy will head out to face off against Mintz Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, they will welcome Cornerstone Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Christ the Cornerstone Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.
